Welcome to the latest instalment of the WhatsOnStage Top Three!

We’re asking all of your favourite stage stars to share their favourite musical, their favourite play, and their favourite showtune. It may seem easy, but we’re putting them on the spot, with thousands of options to choose from!

Indigo, a new musical about the connections of family, is having its UK premiere in Leicester. We caught up with the cast in rehearsals not only to get a glimpse at the production, but to find out their Top Threes.

Leading the piece are Lisa Maxwell as Elaine, a firecracker 63-year-old who is rebelling against the impacts of a recent early-onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis, alongside Olivier Award winner Rebecca Trehearn as her good-hearted daughter, Beverly. Katie Cailean is making her professional stage debut as Emma, Beverly’s autistic and non-speaking daughter who shares her whip-smart feelings and gifts of synesthesia with the audience.

Completing the cast are Nuno Queimado (Hamilton) as Beverly’s husband Rick, Hugo Rolland (101 Dalmatians) as local teenager Tyler, and Tania Mathurin (Come From Away) as social worker Alicia. Inès Mazdon Delas understudies the role of Emma.

Remember to share your three picks on social media with #WhatsOnStageTopThree!
