The ”Jesus Christ Superstar” actor will be among a host of West End stars
Award-winning musical theatre actor Tyrone Huntley is set to perform at this year's WhatsOnStage Awards.
Huntley will perform "Heaven on their Minds" from Jesus Christ Superstar, in which he played Judas at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre last summer.
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical will return to the theatre in August, but with the cast yet to be confirmed, this could be the last chance to see Huntley perform a song from the show.
His performance in the role has earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical at the WhatsOnStage Awards. In November, Huntley won the Emerging Talent Award at the Evening Standard Awards.
Huntley is currently appearing as CC White in Dreamgirls at the Savoy alongside Amber Riley.
More performers for the ceremony are to be announced in due course.
The 17th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards take place at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 19 February.
