The ”Matilda” composer will return to his comedy roots with the show, supported by comedians including Nina Conti and Alan Davies
Comedian Tim Minchin will headline one of this year's British Summer Time gigs in Hyde Park on 10 July along with his band.
The Matilda writer will be joined by an array of comedians including Nina Conti, Milton Jones, Alan Davies and Gina Yashere, along with special guest host Jasper Carrott.
The show will be on the main stage at the Park, and comes as part of the British Summer Time festival, which includes music headline acts including Arcade Fire, the Libertines and McBusted.
Minchin, who is known to theatregoers as the co-creator of hit musical Matilda, recently played Judas in the arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.
He is also rumoured to be writing another musical adaptation, this time of Groundhog Day, with new Old Vic artistic director Matthew Warchus.
Tickets for the gig go on pre-sale on 4 June, and general tickets are available from 6 June.
