According to sources, Adam Penford's recent revival production of The Boys in the Band looks set to transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End in the new year.

The first major revival of Mart Crowley's play in almost 20 years opened at the Park Theatre in October, with a cast including Ian Hallard, Mark Gatiss and Daniel Boys.

The piece, which originally premiered months before the Stonewall riots in 1968, tells of nine gay men in a New York apartment for a birthday celebration. Gatiss played Harold, who receives a gift in the form of a male hustler.

The Vaudeville Theatre is currently home to Terry Johnson's Dead Funny starring Ralf Little and Steve Pemberton, which runs until 4 February 2017.
