Marie Jones' award-winning Irish comedy Stones in His Pockets will return to UK later this year for a major new tour.

Helmed by the original director, Jones' husband Ian McElhinney who is currently starring in Game of Thrones, the production will star Conor Delaney and Stephen Jones.

The bittersweet comedy, about what happens when a Hollywood film crew moves in on a small Irish village, started life at Belfast's Lyric Theatre in April 1999 before finding international success.

Its many accolades include WhatsOnStage, Olivier and Evening Standard awards for Best Comedy and it has been seen by over two million people worldwide.

Stones in His Pockets opens at the Chelmsford Civic Theatre from 8-9 September 2014 before visiting locations including Durham, Brighton, Leicester, Edinburgh, Coventry, Richmond, Oxford, Manchester, Glasgow, York and Liverpool.
