Stomp 'breaks box office record' at Ambassadors

The show will hold a special gala night to mark its 13th year in the West End

Stomp, the West End dance show that sees everyday objects transformed into percussion props, broke a box office record on Valentine's day, just ahead of its 13th birthday.

According to producers the evening show at the Ambassadors Theatre on 14 February was the "highest grossing performance of any production in the 102-year history of the theatre."

The daytime show was also the highest grossing matinee, meaning that two record were broken in a single day.

On 11 May the show, which will reportedly leave the Ambassadors when Cameron Mackintosh's purchase of the venue is completed, will host a gala night for teenagers to marks its 13th year in the West End.
