James Freedman, a "pickpocket entertainer", will bring his new show Man of Steal to the Menier Chocolate Factory in April.

Freedman, whose show "exposes how the bad guys really work", says his act was inspired by observing real-life pickpockets at work in Paris as a child.

"It was then I decided to become a pickpocket myself – only an honest one," he said. "I want to educate people to help them avoid becoming victims."

He claims to be "the only man to have picked the pockets of The Mayor of London, The Chancellor and the Governor of the Bank of England."

Man of Steal is directed and co-written by Edward Hilsum the founder of production company Love Variety.

It runs at the Chocolate Factory on 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 April 2015.
