Graham Greene’s thriller returns

Full casting has been announced for Our Man in Havana, the new stage adaptation of Graham Greene’s classic novel, which will open at the Theatre Royal Windsor before embarking on a UK tour in summer 2026.
Leading the production is Jack Ashton, best known for Call the Midwife, alongside Bob Barrett, Leon Ockenden and Jodie Steele. Together, the four actors will take on more than 30 roles to bring 1950s Havana to life in Clive Francis’ fast-paced adaptation.
Adapted from Graham Greene’s celebrated novel, Our Man in Havana follows James Wormold, a struggling British vacuum cleaner salesman living in pre-revolutionary Cuba who is unexpectedly recruited by MI6.
The production is directed by Philip Wilson, with set and costume design by Julie Godfrey, lighting by Nick Richings and sound design by Andy Graham.
The show opens at Theatre Royal Windsor from Wednesday 1 July to Saturday 11 July 2026, with a national press night on Wednesday 8 July, before touring to Salisbury Playhouse (14 to 18 July), Oxford Playhouse (28 July to 1 August), Theatre Royal Bath (4 to 8 August), Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford (11 to 15 August), Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (18 to 22 August), Malvern Theatres (25 to 29 August) and Cambridge Arts Theatre (1 to 5 September).
The production forms part of Theatre Royal Windsor’s 2026 Season on Tour, alongside Noël Coward’s The Marquise and the return of Royce Ryton’s thriller The Anastasia File.
