Iris Theatre’s seventh season at the Actors’ Church also includes ”Twelfth Night”
Iris Theatre have announced their latest project at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden; a new promenade version of Pinocchio.
The production, which uses a new version of Carlo Collodi's classic story by Daniel Winder and Candida Calidcott, will play from 29 July to 29 August 2015.
According to press material:
On his fantastical journey Pinocchio will meet a speaking cat, a dancing fox, a sneaky snake and a child who turns into a donkey; but as he’s swallowed up whole by a ship-guzzling dogfish Pinocchio loses hope in ever becoming a real little boy.
Iris's previous productions at St Paul's, which is commonly called the Actors' Church, have included Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking Glass.
Pinocchio is preceded by Twelfth Night, directed by Vik Sivalingam, which runs from 24 June to 24 July.
