Bartlett Sher’s production opens at London’s Palladium next week
Na-Young Jeon has an extensive set of credits to her name, playing Fantine in Les Misérables in the West End and taking on the role of Gigi in the world tour production of Miss Saigon. She now comes to London's Palladium for the London transfer of the Lincoln Center production of The King and I, which features Kelli O'Hara and Ken Watanabe in its cast. With the show about to officially open, we asked the star, who plays Tuptim, to give us a look at the production as it goes into its preview period.
NYJ: "Tuptim on her way to the stage."
NYJ: "Sharing the stage with the magnificent Kelli O'Hara. To say I feel honoured is an understatement."
NYJ: "Corridor selfie. Smile!"
NYJ: "Watching the show coming together in the auditorium."
NYJ: "Teching the show means a lot of waiting so we sometimes lose the plot. Can you blame us?"
NYJ: "Last tweeks to the show before first preview!"
NYJ: "Such beautiful gifts and flowers at stage door for our first preview – thank you!"
NYJ: "The first show was received well. Feeling so blessed!"
NYJ: "Now time for drinks! Congratulations everyone!"
