Bartlett Sher’s Tony Award-winning production opens at the London Palladium next month
Images have been released offering a first look at Tony Award-winner Kelli O'Hara and Tony Award-nominee Ken Watanabe in rehearsals ahead of the West End transfer of The King and I.
After an award-winning run at New York's Lincoln Center, Bartlett Sher's production transfers to the London Palladium from 21 June, with a cast that also features Naoko Mori, Ruthie Ann Miles, Dean John Wilson and Na-Young Jeon.
Set in 1860s Bangkok, the piece tells the story of an unexpected romance between a British schoolteacher and the King of Siam. Its classic songs include "Whistle a Happy Tune", "Getting to Know You" and "Shall We Dance".
