The WhatsOnStage Award-nominated production is crossing the Atlantic!

The Jamie Lloyd Company will transfer its five-star revival of Much Ado About Nothing to Broadway.
The show will star Tom Hiddleston as Benedick and Hayley Atwell as Beatrice in the production, directed by Jamie Lloyd. Running for ten weeks over the autumn period, the show’s cast, as well as venue and specific dates, will be announced in due course.
In a gloriously effusive review, WhatsOnStage critic Sarah Crompton said: “The production is big, broad and for all its contemporary trimmings, absolutely Shakespearean in the way that it welcomes everyone into the entertainment. But it is also subtle, and very fine.”
The production was nominated for four WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best Direction and Best Play Revival, as well as four Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards.
In the West End, the creative team featured set and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Jon Clark, and sound designers and composers Ben and Max Ringham. Movement direction was by Fabian Aloise, with Jonathan Glew serving as associate director and text editor.
Stuart Burt was the casting director, while Carole Hancock was responsible for wigs, hair, and makeup design. The intimacy coordinator was Ingrid Mackinnon.
