Michael Feast and Alex Lawther join Michelle Collins for Hampstead's Glass Supper

Michael Feast, Michael Begley, Owen Sharpe and Alex Lawther are joining Michelle Collins in the cast of The Glass Supper at Hampstead Theatre.

The play, which opens on 30 June 2014 (previews from 25 June), is written by Martyn Hesford and centres on two men who escape the madness of London to live in the countryside, only to have their peace shattered by the arrival of some old friends for supper.

Michael Feast's recent stage credits include The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Chihcester) and Three Sisters (Young Vic). Alex Lawther was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for his stage debut, aged 17, in David Hare's South Downs at Chichester and in the West End.

Michael Begley's credits include Sweet Bird of Youth (Old Vic) and If There Is I Haven’t Found it Yet (Bush Theatre); Owen Sharpe has been seen in She Stoops to Conquer (National) and Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme (Hampstead).

Michelle Collins rose to fame for her portrayal of Cindy Beale in EastEnders. On stage she has appeared in Rattle of a Simple Man (Comedy Theatre), Daddy Cool (Shaftesbury), Never Forget (UK Tour), Deception (Malvern Theatres) and The Vagina Monologues (Birmingham Hippodrome).

Writer Martyn Hesford's television screenplay for Fantabulosa! starring Michael Sheen, chronicled the life of English comedian and actor Kenneth Williams and was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Single Drama.

The Glass Supper, which is directed by Abbey Wright for Moya Productions, runs in the Hampstead Downstairs until 26 July.
