Mel Brooks will perform a one-off solo show in London on 22 March at The Prince of Wales Theatre.

Mel Brooks Like in London marks the veteran American comedy star's first-ever solo show in the UK.

According to press material the show will be "chock-full of childhood memories, Hollywood history, unforgettable live music and uproarious laughter".

Brooks' long career has seen him earn all four major American entertainment prizes – the Tony, Emmy, Grammy and Oscar. His many credits include The Producers on screen and stage.

"I am thrilled to bring this introspective retrospective of my life and career to the West End stage," said Brooks, who is 88. "It will be an evening the audience will never forget – whether they want to or not."
