Rehearsal images have been released for the upcoming production of Behind the Beautiful Forevers at the National Theatre, which opens next month.

David Hare's new play stars Meera Syal and is adapted from Katherine Boo's novel about the interconnected lives of people living in a Mumbai slum.

It also features in the cast Vincent Ebrahim, Thusitha Jayasundera, Muzz Khan, Chook Sibtain and Shane Zaza, among others.

Directed by upcoming NT artistic director Rufus Norris, it runs at the NT Olivier from 10 November 2014 and is designed by Katrina Lindsay with lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Paul Arditti.
