Doctor Who actor Matt Smith will return to the Royal Court in a new play.

The actor will star in Unreachable by Anthony Neilson in July. Smith has previously performed at the Royal Court in That Face in 2007, which transferred to the West End. He most recently starred in American Psycho at the Almeida Theatre.

Unreachable is a new devised project from Neilson. Throughout the rehearsal process online content will be produced and released on a website to give insight into the process of devising. The only details about the plot so far is that the play will centre around an obsessive film director.

Completing the cast is Amanda Drew, Tamara Lawrance, Jonjo O'Neill, Richard Pyros.

Chloe Lamford designs the set with costumes by Fly Davis, lighting design by Chahine Yavroyan and composition and sound design by Nick Powell.
