Former X Factor finalist Lloyd Daniels will make his musical theatre debut in the title role of Bill Kenwright's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat when it embarks on a new UK tour next month.

Daniels will be joined in the cast by Over the Rainbow winner Danielle Hope as Narrator, and EastEnders' Matt Lapinskas, making his theatre debut, as Pharaoh.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's colourful retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours features songs including "Jacob and Sons", "Close Every Door" and "Any Dream Will Do".

The tour opens at Theatre Royal Windsor on 23 July 2014, before visiting Southend, Dublin, Truro, Woking, Reading, Stoke, Bromley, Cork, Carlisle, Liverpool, Manchester, Norwick, Tunbridge Wells, Mold, Darlington and High Wycombe.
