Julia Grogan’s new solo show You’re So Special will run at Soho Theatre Upstairs from 3 to 26 September 2026.

Written and performed by Grogan, whose previous credits include Playfight and Gunter, the production is directed and developed with Rachel Lemon. It is produced by Grace Dickson Productions and was developed at Dublin Fringe Festival Studios.

The play centres on Miss June, a performer and dance teacher who believes her fortunes are about to change after securing a place on a television talent show. When that opportunity falls through, she returns to teaching a baby ballet class in a village hall and becomes increasingly focused on making the school’s end-of-term showcase a success.

You’re So Special runs for 65 minutes. The production is recommended for audiences aged 18 and over and contains nudity, references to mental health, violence and bereavement.

Press night is scheduled for 8 September 2026.
