Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre releases A Midsummer Night’s Dream performance from rehearsals

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has released a rehearsal tune from its upcoming production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Atri Banerjee directs the revival, which plays from 20 June to 18 July, with a press night set for 29 June.

You can take a listen to a new tune by Maimuna Memon, performed by Rachel Barnes, Amelia Gabriel, Rori Hawthorn and Damien James (all of whom are also in the cast). The video is by Johnny Marchette.

Set to star are Issam Al Ghussain (Flute), Barnes (Moth), Georgia Bruce (Puck), Misia Butler (Lysander), Neil D’Souza (Snug and Egeus), Gabriel (Mustardseed), Harriet Gordon-Anderson (Quince), Hawthorn (Cobweb), Olivier Huband (Oberon and Theseus), Nadeem Islam (Bottom), James (Peaseblossom), Terique Jarrett (Demetrius), Evie Jones (Snout), Mary Malone (Helena), Hiftu Quasem (Hermia), Jenny Rainsford (Titania and Hippolyta) and Dumile Sibanda (Starveling).

The show will have original compositions by Memon. Also on the creative team are Rachel Barnes (musical director), Naomi Dawson (set designer), Yarit Dor (intimacy and fight director), Amara Heyland (associate director), Anjali Mehra (movement director), Tomás Palmer (costume designer), Max Pappenheim (sound designer), Joshua Pharo (lighting designer), Jacob Sparrow (casting director) and Emma Woodvine (voice and text director).
