The Music of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be released as a standalone album in November.

Written, composed, performed and recorded by Grammy and Ivor Novello Award-winner Imogen Heap, the album features music performed in the stage show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is currently running at the Palace Theatre in the West End.

Heap said: "This album is like nothing I've ever attempted before. It's four suites containing music from each of the four acts of the play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. With over 100 moments of music in the play, the challenge was how to weave them together, and I think it has manifested into a really enjoyable listen, with memories for those who've seen the play, musical accompaniment to those with the script of the play or simply just to enjoy the music as a stand-alone album."

John Tiffany, Jack Thorne and JK Rowling's production, which broke the record for most Olivier Award wins and bagged six Tony Awards earlier this year, had its world premiere in 2016 and is currently playing in London and New York, with forthcoming productions in Australia, San Francisco and the first non-English production opening in Germany in 2020.

The production opened to rave reviews at the Palace Theatre, including WhatsOnStage critic Sarah Crompton who said "it is, quite simply, magic." It went on to win nine Olivier Awards in 2017 and last month won Best West End Show and Best Show Poster at the 18th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards.

It features movement by Steven Hoggett, set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe.

The album will be released on 2 November both digitally and in stores.
