Hadestown adds new dates and venues to first UK and Ireland tour

Further dates have been added to the first tour of the United Kingdom of the West End production of Anaïs Mitchell’s musical Hadestown.

The production, which won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 2019 and two WhatsOnStage Awards following its run at the National Theatre and subsequent West End transfer, will visit venues across the country.

The show also won two WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for Melanie La Barrie and Best Musical Direction/Supervision.

As already revealed, the tour will open at Curve in Leicester on 19 February 2027, with other initial dates on our tour page.

Confirmed today, in 2027 the show will also visit Cliffs Pavilion, Southend (25 to 29 May), Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton (28 September to 2 October), New Victoria Theatre, Woking (12 to 16 October), New Theatre, Oxford (19 to 23 October), and New Wimbledon Theatre (16 to 20 November).

Casting details for the touring production have not yet been announced.

The musical, which blends modern American folk music with New Orleans jazz to reimagine the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice alongside King Hades and Persephone, also continues its run at the Lyric Theatre in London.
