The award-winning show, based on the music of Madness, will tour the UK throughout autumn

As they prepare to open in Crewe this week, we caught up with the cast of Our House to discuss the show and why the songs of '80s ska band Madness work so well on stage.

Jason Kajdi (Mary Poppins) stars as Joe Casey alongside Sophie Matthew (Channel 4's Humans) as Sarah. They are joined by Emmerdale veteran Deena Payne and Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson.

With a book by Tim Firth, Our House won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical when it premiered in 2002. It tells the story of Casey whose life changes because of a decision he makes on his 16th birthday.

The production will be directed by James Tobias and choreographed by Fabian Aloise.

Our House will start its UK tour at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe on 10 August, touring the UK until 25 November.
