Linda Emond and Sarah Snook will join Ralph Fiennes in David Hare’s adaptation
Full casting has been announced for the forthcoming production of Henrik Ibsen’s The Master Builder.
Linda Emond will play Aline Solness and Sarah Snook will take the role of Hilde Wangel. They join Ralph Fiennes, who will be starring as Halvard Solness.
New artistic director of the Old Vic Matthew Warchus will direct the play, which focuses on a master architect whose life is shaken by an encounter with a country girl.
Emond is an American actress who recently played Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall. She has been nominated for three Tony Awards.
Australian actress Snook is has performed in King Lear with the South Australian Theatre Company and starred in films Predestination and Not Suitable for Children.
The full cast includes Charlie Cameron, James Dreyfus and James Laurenson.
The Master Builder opens 3 February and runs until 19 March.
