The RSC’s production opens at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in November
Images have been released of rehearsals for the Royal Shakespeare Company's latest production of The Tempest which stars Simon Russell Beale as Prospero.
The production is a collaboration between the RSC and Intel, in association with The Imaginarium Studios, and will use cutting-edge motion capture technology.
Russell Beale returns to the RSC for the first time in twenty years and Mark Quartley plays Ariel. Quartley will be wearing a motion capture suit live on the RST stage and will control the movements of his digital Ariel.
RSC artistic director Greg Doran directs Shakspeare's play, which is about a Duke who is banished to an island filled with mysterious magic and fairies.
The Tempest runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 17 November to 21 January with previews from 8 November.
