Exclusive: First look at Matt Berry, Lily Cole and cast in The Philanthropist

Photos have been released giving a first look at the cast of Christopher Hampton's The Philanthropist at Trafalgar Studios.

The production stars Matt Berry (Toast), model Lily Cole, Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners), Charlotte Ritchie (Call the Midwife) and Tom Rosenthal (Friday Night Dinner).

The Philanthropist follows 24 hours in the lives of a group of academics in an English university town. It focuses on a young professor, while the Prime Minister and his cabinet are assassinated.

Speaking to WhatsOnStage, director Simon Callow said the play was a "heavenly piece of work" which "touches on all sorts of searing things".
