Emilia Fox is to star in the UK premiere of Sex with Strangers at Hampstead Theatre.

The actress returns to the venue following her turn in Rapture, Blister, Burn in 2014 to star in Peter DuBois' production.

Sex with Strangers follows Olivia, an underrated, mid-career writer who is unexpectedly trapped overnight in a snowed-in B&B with a successful young blogger.

Laura Eason's play was one of the top ten most produced plays in 2015/2016, with companies including Steppenwolf and Sydney Theatre Company mounting productions. Eason's other credits include producer on the hit TV series House of Cards and the play The Undeniable Sound of Right Now.

DuBois directed Fox in Rapture, Blister, Burn and his other credits include Becky Shaw (Almeida Theatre) and All New People (Duke of York's).

Sex with Strangers runs at Hampstead Theatre from 2 Feburary to 4 March with previews from 27 January.
