The Olivier-nominated educational piece of entertainment brings audiences face-to-face with a plethora of creatures from dragons, stone trolls and griffins to unicorns and even the tooth fairy.
The show is written by Derek Bond and co-directed by Bond and Laura Cubitt. It features puppet design by Max Humphries, set and costume design by Good Teeth, composition and sound design by Max Pappenheim, lighting design by John Maddox, associate direction by Emma Brunton and costume supervision by Louise Smith. It is produced by Nicoll Entertainment Ltd.
The cast includes Christopher Dobson (as Dave the Hero Trainer), alongside puppeteers Dan Armstrong (who also serves as Understudy Host), Richard Booth (also Puppet Captain / Puppet Technician), Emily Cooper, Gary Mitchinson, Aiysha Nugent-Robinson, and Amber-Rose Perry.
Dragons and Mythical Beasts launches its tour at Corby Cube on Friday 12 May, before visiting a further 29 venues nationwide until Sunday 3 September. Stops include Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Northampton, Southampton, Reading, Swansea,
Plymouth, Eastbourne, Cheltenham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Bournemouth, Woking, Truro and Bromley, among others.
