Deep-Heat Rivalry, a parody of the break-out smash hit series Heated Rivalry, has extended its run at The Other Palace Studio.
Written by Olivier Award nominee Trevor Ashley and Phil Scott, the comedy is directed by Ashley. Casting is still to be announced.
The show follows rival ice hockey stars Shane Hollandaise and Ilya Stroganoff, whose fierce competition on the rink conceals a romantic attraction. As their rivalry intensifies, both must confront feelings neither expected.
Described as a parody inspired by the popular television series, the production combines musical comedy, locker-room antics and innuendo, with a score featuring a range of musical styles.
Ashley and Scott have previously collaborated on a number of comedy and parody productions. Ashley received an Olivier Award nomination for his work as a performer and writer.
The extension will see the production continue its run at The Other Palace Studio through to 11 October, opening on 11 September.
The show is one of a handful of Heated Rivalry parody musicals opening this summer in London and Edinburgh, in a heated Heated Rivalry musical parody rivalry.
