The cast for Marius von Mayenburg’s ”Plastic” has also been announced
The cast joining Amanda Abbington in Mike Leigh’s comedy Abigail's Party at Theatre Royal Bath has been announced.
The play is about a drinks party hosted by Beverly (Abbington) which descends into chaos as she invites round her new neighbours.
Ben Caplan (Sunny Afternoon) will play Beverly's husband Laurence, with Rose Keegan (Bedroom Farce), Charlotte Mills (Jerusalem) and Ciaran Owens (Titus Andronicus) also in the cast.
It will be directed by Sarah Esdaile and will open in Bath on 8 March before embarking on a UK tour, which includes a run at the Richmond Theatre in April.
Casting for Marius von Mayenburg Plastic has also been announced.
Jonathan Slinger, who played Willy Wonka when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory closed in the West End, will play Michael, a doctor battling with a relationship on the brink, and a son hitting puberty.
Charlotte Randle (Yerma) plays wife Ulrike, who is assistant to infamous artist Serge Haulupa, played by Steve John Shepherd (EastEnders). Brenock O’Connor (Game of Thrones) plays son Vincent and Ria Zmitrowicz (X) will play Jessica.
The play will run at Theatre Royal Bath from 23 February to 25 March.
