Caoilfhionn Dunne leads the cast in this newly translated play, which debuts next month
The full cast has been announced for Magali Mougel's new play Suzy Storck, which runs at the Gate Theatre from 26 October to 18 November.
Kate Duchene (Madam Storck), Caoilfhionn Dunne (Suzy Storck), Jonah Russell (Hans Vasilly Kruez) and Theo Solomon (Chorus) will star in the production, directed by French director Jean-Pierre Baro in what will be his debut UK production. The show is translated by Chris Campbell, with design by Cécile Trémolières, lighting Design by Christopher Nairne and sound design by Adrian Wernert.
The Gate's artistic director, Ellen McDougall said: "This company includes the brilliant Caoilfhionn Dunne who will make a beautiful portrayal of Suzy, and alumni of the Gate Kate Duchene (Katie Mitchell's production of The House of Bernada Alba in 1992), and Jonah Russell (The Emperor Jones, directed by Thea Sharrock in 2005). I can't wait to see what the company make together."
Suzy Storck depicts the life of the titular Suzy, feeling trapped within a domestic environment and longing for escape.
McDougall recently opened her inaugural production The Unknown Island at the venue.
Suzy Storck runs at The Gate from 31 October to 18 November with previews from 26 October.
