Anthony Horowitz's Mindgame to return to the West End

Anthony Horowitz's Mindgame will run for three weeks in the West End this month.

Horowitz's play was penned in 1999 and premiered at the Mercury Theatre Colcester before transferring to London's Vaudeville Theatre in the West End the subsequent year. It also had its US premiere off-Broadway in 2008 at the Soho Playhouse, with direction by Ken Russell.

The show follows crime-writer Mark Styler who interviews a notorious serial killer to help with a new novel. The piece was revived as part of Nottingham Theatre Royal's thriller season in 2016, before embarking on a UK tour late last year. It runs at the Ambassadors Theatre from 15 May to 2 June.

Horowitz's recent stage credits include 2015's Dinner with Saddam, which opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory and starred Sanjeev Bhaskar and Steven Berkoff. He is responsible for the Alex Rider book collection, the Power of Five series and has written two Sherlock Holmes novels, The House of Silk and Moriarty. For screen he is the creator and writer of Foyle's War, Collision, Injustice and New Blood.
