The musical has reportedly shifted its sights away from the Palladium
Disney's screen-to-stage musical Aladdin has reportedly set its sights on the West End's Dominion Theatre, until recently the long-term home of We Will Rock You.
The show, which is currently playing to packed houses on Broadway, has been long-rumoured for a West End transfer, and would join Disney's The Lion King and Shakespeare in Love in the West End.
It had previously been thought to be lined up as a replacement for Cats at the Palladium.
Writing in the Daily Mail, Baz Bamigboye reports: "One minute the Broadway musical Aladdin was dancing its way through the door of the London Palladium. Now it's cosying up to the Dominion."
Disney reportedly "sees the Dominion as a grown-up theatre", he adds, and hopes that Aladdin will play a long run. Negotiations are "ongoing".
