Pictures of the cast of Red Velvet rehearsing for the upcoming opening night have been released.

Olivier-Award winner Adrian Lester reprises his role as Ira Aldridge in Lolita Chakrabarti's Red Velvet, as part of the Kenneth Branagh season at the Garrick Theatre.

The play, which originally premiered at the Tricycle Theatre in 2012 before transferring to St Ann's Warehouse in New York in 2014, will be directed by Indhu Rubasingham.

Red Velvet runs at the Garrick from 1 to 27 February.
