7 ways you can feel like you are at the Edinburgh Fringe without actually leaving the house

Lots of people are in Edinburgh right now, enjoying incredible theatre and awesome parties. But some of us are stuck at home, working. Here’s how you can get the EdFringe feel without even entering Scotland

1. Invite your friends round and get them to put flyers up all over your house.

2. Buy an inflatable cow, paint it purple and put it upside down in your garden.

3. Watch TV all day, but in different rooms for different programmes. Then give each programme a star rating and tweet your review.

4. Go to Tesco and Instagram a some Haggis – "#EdFringe #Yummy #NoFilter".

5. Pay your landlord double this month.

6. Rename your favourite armchair Arthur's Seat, stand on it and look out majestically over the rest of your house.

7. Imagine the rest of your family are actually performance artists acting in an ultra realistic play about the pressures of modern family life.
