Winners of the Waitress Cast Album Karaoke cameo announced
Two lucky Waitress karaoke stars have been picked to star in the show
The winners of the Waitress Cast Album Karaoke have been announced.
Audience members got up onstage in front of casting director David Grindrod last month to perform a song from the show with the hope of getting a West End cameo.
Two winners were chosen, Monique Henry, a 36 year-old who works in customer services at See Tickets as well as Henry Bricknell, a 17 year-old student from High Wycombe.
Henry said: "I've been singing most of my life but haven't sang in a while. The last five years I've done some amateur dramatics and local theatre which was an amazing new experience and was so rewarding, I just wanted more of that feeling. It made me fall in love with the theatre and hope one day I could sing on a West End stage which I have now done. I am so happy I can't even tell you."
Bricknell added: "I love getting involved in theatre having just finished playing Tony in my school's performance of West Side Story, I'm taking on Guys and Dolls later this year and hoping to potentially pursue a career in the theatre in the future. This is so exciting I cannot wait!"

Grindrod and WhatsOnStage's managing editor Daisy Bowie-Sell were judges on the night and commented: "Overall we were really impressed by the standard of the Waitress Cast Album Karaoke Night performers. We couldn't believe their confidence to appear on the Adelphi stage with the full cast and orchestra. It was such a difficult choice but Monique raised the roof with her vocals and Henry was just a brilliant Ogie!"
They will perform in the show on July 23. Watch all the Cast Album Karaoke singers at the Adelphi.
