One lucky audience member will be offered a cameo in the West End production of Waitress, it has been announced.

The show's next Cast Album Karaoke night takes place on 8 May, in partnership with WhatsOnStage. It will see a West End casting agent in the audience, who will decide on the best performance of the night.

Hosts for the night have been announced as Chizzy Akudolu and cast member Laura Baldwin. The pair will oversee the post-show event in which audiences will get up onstage to sing one of the songs accompanied by Waitress musical director Katharine Woolley. On 8 May, the top performer will be chosen and given a cameo in the show.

The cameo role will be for one night only at a date yet to be announced. To be in with a chance of winning, you need to sign up before that evening's show to take part in the event.

Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson's musical Waitress opened in March this year, starring Katharine McPhee in the role of Jenna, the waitress and pie-making expert who dreams of escaping her loveless marriage.

The show earned a four star review from Sarah Crompton, calling the show 'a treat'.
