RSC's Don Quixote starring David Threlfall and Rufus Hound to transfer to West End

The RSC production of Don Quixote will transfer into the West End following its run at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, it has been announced.
Starring David Threlfall and Rufus Hound (who return following their performances in the original production), the show, directed by Angus Jackson, will play a limited season at the Garrick Theatre from 27 October to 2 February.
The play is based on Miguel de Cervantes' novel which tells of the travelling knight (Threlfall) and faithful squire (Hound) who go on a series of absurd adventures.
Writer and journalist James Fenton adapts Cervantes' novel for the production, which was described by WhatsOnStage critic Michael Coveney as "one of the most seriously enjoyable evenings at the RSC in a very long time".
The piece is designed by Robert Innes Hopkins, with music composed by Grant Olding, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Fergus O'Hare. The fight director is Malcolm Ranson with movement by Lucy Cullingford.
RSC artistic director Gregory Doran said: "We are delighted that Angus Jackson's joyful production of Don Quixote is going to be shared with West End audiences this autumn, following my production of Imperium playing at the Gielgud Theatre and our regular winter season of Shakespeare plays at the Barbican."
Tickets go on sale on Monday 25 June.
