National Theatre's River Stage line up announced 2019

The line-up for the National's annual, open air festival on the South Bank has revealed.

The festival takes place over five weekends from 5 July through to 2 August, with each weekend being partnered by a different company. The previously announced partners are The Glory (5 to 7 July), Shubbak Festival (12 to 14 July), National Park City Festival (19 to 21 July), Frantic Assembly (26 to 28 July), and the National Theatre (2 to 4 August).

Frantic Assembly is a new partner this year, in the company's 25th anniversary year, and offers the chance to take part in the Frantic Warm Up as well as learn about production ''The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.

Shubbak Festival brings Bricklab, the designers of the first Saudi pavilion at Venice Architecture Biennale, with its new pop-up sculpture.

Each Friday and Saturday night will see parties in the open air from the likes of We Love EU Party on 5 July and a Homage to Kylie as well as U-Cef the Moroccan DJ.

Other performers include Lewis Griffith, Declan Bennett and Stefan Janik in live performances as well as Karl Queensborough performing in Ignition open mic.

As well as performances there are food and wine stalls on the South Bank throughout the festival.
