Production company Funicular has launched a brand new immersive theatre event set aboard a train in east London.

The Murdér Express invites audiences to embark upon its 'maiden voyage' to the fictional French town of Murdér, with characters including an East End Costermonger, a music hall star and a local antique dealer.

The performance is accompanied by a three-course meal, designed by MasterChef 2016 finalists, Billy and Jack.

While the train doesn't actually move from its starting point, LCD windows show footage shot on a heritage steam railway in the Welsh Highlands to create the illusion of a grand journey.

Tickets, priced from £53, go on general sale on 25 May.
