A first look video has been released for the forthcoming stage production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, which opens in Boston next month.

In the video, leading man Aaron Tveit sings the iconic ballad "Come What May", which comes during the climax of the piece. The stage show is based on the hit musical film from Baz Luhrmann (with a screenplay by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce, the same team behind the book for Strictly Ballroom), which was released in 2001 and went on to be nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning two.

Joining Tveit in the cast are Karen Olivo as Satine, Danny Burstein as Harold Zidler, Sahr Ngaujah (Toulouse-Lautrec), Tam Mutu (The Duke of Monroth), Ricky Rojas (Santiago), and Robyn Hurder (Nini).

The new stage version is directed by Alex Timbers and written by John Logan, with the creative team composed of Sonya Tayeh (choreographer), Derek McLane (set design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), and David Brian Brown (wig and hair design).

A British premiere date has yet to be announced, but we're sure that one day it'll fly away over to the West End!
