As it nears its 20th anniversary, the West End production of Mamma Mia! has announced an extension and a new daily ticketing lottery for April.

The hit musical, featuring the iconic ABBA back catalogue, will now be booking until March 2020 at the Novello Theatre in the West End, with the new round of tickets going on sale on Wednesday 3 April.

Throughout April, there will be a daily ticket lottery, offering 20 £20 tickets per performance, with the seats available either online or in person at the box office.

Mamma Mia! originally opened at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6 April 1999 and transferred to the Prince of Wales in 2004. It opened at the Novello Theatre in 2012.

With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, the musical is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
