Summer's here and the outdoors is beckoning – but you can take the musicals with you with our handy pick of ten summer showtunes for every sunny occasion.

1. "The Club"

In The Heights

To get us rolling we had to go for In The Heights! Lin-Manuel Miranda's Olivier Award-winning musical has a number of classic summer tunes but we thought we'd pick "The Club" as our opening pick for its unchecked party vibes!

2. "Times Are Hard For Dreamers"

Amélie

It may not have had the Broadway success it was hoping for, but the new UK tour is a smash sensation and the perfect soundtrack to listen to while catching some rays.

3. "Too Darn Hot"

Kiss Me, Kate

Echoing a standard British sentiment for the summer months, we picked Kiss Me, Kate as it's also going to be hitting the stage this summer at The Watermill!

4. "The Song of Purple Summer"

Spring Awakening

A mellow one for those sleepy dusktimes, "The Song of Purple Summer" may not be the most jubilant song, but it's definitely a cracking listen.

5. "Does Your Mother Know"

Mamma Mia!

Let's face it – the whole Mamma Mia! soundtrack could have been on this round-up. We just picked the one that was highest on our 'most recently played' list.

6. "The Flesh Failures (Let The Sunshine In)"

Hair

This track tore up the WhatsOnStage Awards last year and, with a new London cast recording, we thought we'd throwback with a musical classic.

7. "A Very Good Day"

Working

A second instalment for Lin-Manuel Miranda on our list comes from the newly released cast recording of Working, a charming and utterly listenable duet that you'll be humming all summer long.

8. "1-2-3"

On Your Feet!

A taste of Latin America to mark the show's West End premiere last month

9. "The Rhythm of Life"

Sweet Charity

A jazzy addition to the playlist courtesy of Sweet Charity.

10. "One Night in Bangkok"

Chess

Finally we have a classic floor filler that last year ran at the Coliseum. With disco vibes and summer nights on show, there's no reason not to have a boogie to One Night over the next few months.
