Louise Redknapp and Amber Davies to tour in 9 to 5 the Musical
The stars will appear in selected cities on the autumn tour
Louise Redknapp and Amber Davies will appear in the UK and Ireland tour of 9 to 5 the Musical it has been announced.
The show will embark on an 11 city tour from 6 September, with Davies and Redknapp appearing in certain cities.
Redknapp will appear as Violet Newstead in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin. Davies will play Judy Bernly in Birmingham, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Woking, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Dublin. Caroline Sheen will play Violet Newstead in Cardiff, and Brian Conley has been confirmed to play Franklin Hard in Milton Keynes.
Full casting for the show for each venue will be announced in due course.
The London production of 9 to 5 continues at the Savoy Theatre and currently stars Redknapp (until 29 June), Sheen (from 4 July), Davies, Natalie McQueen, Bonnie Langford and Brian Conley. Casting for the London production from 2 September will be announced in due course.
Dolly Parton's musical has a book by Patricia Resnick, choreography by Lisa Stevens, design by Tom Rogers, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Poti Martin, video by Nina Dunn, musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Mark Crossland, musical direction by Andrew Hilton and casting by Victoria Roe. It is based on the 1980 film of the same name.
