Kinky Boots West End production to be filmed with Matt Henry and Killian Donnelly returning

Kinky Boots will be filmed later this month for a future worldwide screening.

Original West End cast members Killian Donnelly and Matt Henry will return to play the roles of Charlie and Lola respectively from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 November 2018 while the filming takes place.

Henry won an Olivier Award for his original West End performance, with the show winning two further Olivier Awards and three WhatsOnStage Awards for Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical and Best Choreography when it first opened.

The show will close on 12 January 2019 after more than 1400 performances at the Adelphi Theatre, where it first ran in September 2015. Based on Tim Firth's 2005 film of the same name, the musical first ran on Broadway in 2012 with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, book by Harvey Fierstein and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell.

Kinky Boots is also currently on a major UK tour through to November 2019, after first premiering at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton.
