Two guv'nors, or not two guv'nors?

He may have played the Dane in 2015 (bagging a WhatsOnStage Award in the process) but Benedict Cumberbatch hilariously returned to the role of Hamlet as he joined Tony Award-winner James Corden for a skit on Corden's Late Late Show last night.

The pair, trying to get the better of one another during famous stage scenes, tackled classic shows including Hamlet, Arthur Miller's The Crucible, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot.

Earlier this year, Cumberbatch was announced as the new President of LAMDA, replacing Timothy West in the role. He appeared in the latest Avengers film, which had the highest box office opening of all time last weekend.

Corden, whose stage credits include The History Boys and One Man, Two Guv'nors, previously teamed up with Tim Minchin, Ben Platt and Abigail Spencer to perform a special version of Minchin's "When I Grow Up" from Matilda.
