The Messiah starring Hugh Dennis, Lesley Garrett and John Marquez to run at The Other Palace over Christmas

The Messiah, a new comedy starring Lesley Garrett, Hugh Dennis and John Marquez, is due to run at The Other Palace over Christmas.

The show transfers to London for a five week run following a UK tour to cities including Birmingham, Cardiff, Lyceum, Sheffield and Chichester.

Dennis, Garrett and Marquez play a travelling theatre troupe featuring two actors and an opera singer who enact the 'greatest story ever told'. Patrick Barlow, the man behind The 39 Steps and and A Christmas Carol, writes and directs the production.

Dennis returns to the stage for the first time in over 20 years, while Garrett makes her comedy play debut in the piece.
