Following a run at the Ustinov Studio last November, the full cast of Alice Childress' Trouble in Mind, directed by Laurence Boswell, has been announced. This follows the previously announced casting of Tanya Moodie in the lead role of Wiletta Mayer.

Pip Donaghy returns to the role of Henry alongside Geoff Leesley as Bill. Jonathan Slinger, who recently starred as Willy Wonka in the West End production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, joins the cast to take on the role of Al Manners with Andrew Alexander as Eddie, Ewart James Walters as Forrester, Ncuti Gatwa as John, Faith Alabi as Millie and Daisy Boulton as Judy.

The production tells the story of a group of African-American actors rehearsing for a 1950s Broadway production in a theatre dominated by white men. Trouble in Mind was the first play by a black woman to be professionally produced in New York.

Laurence Boswell said: "I am thrilled to be restaging Trouble In Mind for the Coronet after its hugely successfully outing in Bath. We have assembled a cast packed with talent, a beautiful and important play and the perfect London venue."

Trouble in Mind will run at the Print Room at the Coronet from 14 September to 14 October.
