Jim Steinman's musical Bat Out of Hell is to extend into 2019 at the Dominion Theatre, it has been announced.

The show's new booking period goes on sale from today at noon and the new dates run from 27 October 2018 to 5 January 2019. The show opened at the Dominion Theatre on 2 April 2018.

The cast of the show still includes Andrew Polec as Strat and Christina Bennington as Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane.

Songs from Bat Out of Hell include "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" and "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad". It tells a love story between two young rebels set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city. The musical has a book, music and lyrics from Jim Steinman and is directed by Jay Scheib. Choreography is by Emma Portner, set design from Jon Bausor, video design by Finn Ross and lighting design from Patrick Woodroffe.

Bat Out of Hell originally ran at Manchester Opera House and then the London Coliseum before heading to Toronto. A new production opens in Toronto for a three week engagement this autumn.
