The Ambassadors Theatre has been reacquired by Ambassador Theatre Group, according to a source at the organisation.

The 444-seat venue was previously run by Ambassador Theatre Group from 1996 to 2007, when it was bought by Stephen Waley-Cohen. The long-running West End production of Stomp closed at the Ambassadors Theatre in January 2018, and since then shows at the venue have included All or Nothing, Beginning and Switzerland, which currently runs until January.

According to a report by The Stage, the theatre has been sold for around £12 million and ATG will take over running the venue in early January.

The Ambassador Theatre Group runs 46 venues across the country as well as further nine West End theatres, including the Apollo Victoria, the Lyceum and the Savoy Theatre. Their head offices are based in Woking.
