Ariana DeBose announces band, singers, dancers and choreographer for London Palladium show

DeBose began her career in theatre, and made her Broadway debut in 2011 as a member of the ensemble in the musical Bring It On: The Musical. She went on to appear in several other Broadway shows, including Motown: The Musical, Hamilton, and A Bronx Tale.

In 2018, DeBose was cast as one of the lead roles, Disco Donna, in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, with subsequent screen credits in The Prom and Schmigadoon!.

She also appeared in the film adaptation of West Side Story in 2021, playing the role of Anita – winning a BAFTA and an Oscar in the process. She has been nominated for several awards for her work on Broadway, including a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in Summer.

On 1 April, DeBose will be performing live in concert at The London Palladium, with tickets for the event on sale below.

Today, creatives and vocalists have been revealed. Musical director Benjamin Rauhala will be joined by band members Robyn Brown on bass, Dave Hornberger on cello, Kobi Pham on guitar, Zach Okonkwo on drums, Ryan C Quigley on trumpet and flugelhorn and Kate Ingram on saxophone, flute and clarinet. Backing vocals will be performed by Allie Daniel and Claudia Kariuki. Choreography is by Aaron Renfree with dancers Ché Barrett-Davis, Alex Brown, Jo Dyce and Gracie Gledhill.

The show also has lighting design by Jack Weir and Sound by Paul Smith for Apex Acoustics.
